In addition to our school program which we will be running in a couple of Calgary area schools this spring, we will be around at a lot more Calgary area events!

We will be attending a YMCA students leadership conference in Bragg Creek at the end of month, and we look to be running interactive programs at a few Calgary festivals over the summer. Please stay tuned!

]]> 2010 Recap http://myworldmychoice.org/20110121/20 http://myworldmychoice.org/20110121/20 Fri, 21 Jan 2011 12:11:12 -0800 2010 was a fabulous year!  The Guelph chapter experienced a lot of growth and with this came an even larger impact on the community.  The number of students who participated in the program nearly doubled!!  The chapter continued to support both Rickson Ridge Public School and Jean Little Public School and also expanded to Aberfoyle Public School.  Over 500 students took part in their programming and weekly training sessions took place among mentors. The result of their effort was astonishing. The mentored students recognized their potential and eagerly developed projects to make their schools and communities more sustainable.

The Guelph chapter plans to continue their expansion in 2011-2012 with the addition of more schools as well as new outreach incentives within the Guelph community.
